Clayton Edward Kershaw. Serving up beach balls to the Padres |
The Ace of the Highest payroll in the NL (soon to be MLB) should be able to stop the worst team in the NL and keep them from sweeping them at home. The Dodgers were outscored 22-7 in this series with the Padres and not only does that show the lack of power from their lineup, it shows the struggles of the pitching staff as well. Kershaw is the one who needed to break them out of their slump and he failed. He failed himself, his team, he failed Donny Baseball, He failed the fans of LA, and most importantly, he failed me. I will be promptly burning the SI for Kids pinup I have of him that is hanging in my bedroom.
Kershaw's Line from Wednesday's failure:
5.1 IP, 7 Hits, 5 runs (3 Earned), 4 BB, 5 K, 3 Home Runs.
How could Clayton fail everybody like this. This reminds me so much of that time Lincoln failed the United States by getting shot in the head. Slacking off on the job to take in a show and BAM, dead. Damn you Mr. President and Damn you Clayton Kershaw.
