I actually have feeling about the Astros beating the A's today but I am still voting against it. I also wanted to take the Twins to sweep but I just cant. And I guess those two games they won against Houston did nothing to get the Angels rolling.
Good luck today friend as we battle for double skins.
I was about to write Gamble day above my picks but seeing as you chose the Indians and the Cubbies as well, we look to be on the same page.
I couldn't stay away from the Cubs after seeing Villanueva's stat line so far this year against the Giants and the Braves. Could the Cubs actually have somebody worthwhile?
Yeah. Villanueva pitched good in that game against the Giants last friday that we listened to. The one where Castro won it for the cubs in the bottom of the 9th off Romo. And 3 of their losses are one run games to the Braves and Giants. I think they might actually pan out to be a team worthy of their $100M+ payroll. Although watching the Dodgers game the other night, the announcers said that the Dodgers Batting avg was second worst in the NL with runners in scoring position (cubs were last). I keep putting faith in the Dodgers for some reason and the Padres just can't sweep them, so just playing the odds.
Masterson is awesome and even though the Rsox are red hot right now he was a safe bet for me. Angels just seemed like too big of a gamble. I know it is a smart bet to go against the sweep but they are just playing like shit. Plus Pujols seems hurt. They cut into a lot of their games on MLB network and he looks like he is limping around and he has played DH a bunch lately.
Ugly day to play for double skinz. Our easy picks were not so easy today. Although I would like to blame Mother Nature, she had no bearing on the outcome today, and even with only picking 3 games, you still were able to best me to claim double skinz.
Chris: A's, Nats. 1 point Nick: Just the Nats. 2 points

Nick wins 2 skinz and the score is now 11-6.
It shall be noted that I am not counting Nick's Cubs for Dodgers swap as it did not affect the final result.
ReplyDeleteAngels and cubs rained out.
