2018`s MUP (most underwhelming player) Bryce Harper defeated Kris Bryant in a Home Run derby that will be remembered for days. Harper along with his criminal father found a loop hole in the rules and by loop hole, I mean they just decided to ignore the rule of letting the ball land before throwing the next pitch, making it impossible for Kris Bryant to be victorious even though Kris Bryant could have done the exact same thing because nobody actually pays attention to the rules in the derby, much like players standing in the batters box and the number of mound visits per game. It°s baseball after all, the only rules that count are the `Unwritten Rules`.
The American League defeated the National League in a 10 inning game that saw a record 10 home runs, 3 of which were hit in the 10th inning alone. Astros teammates, Alex Bregman and George Springer hit back to back home runs in extra innings to seal the deal for the AL for a sixth straight victory for the fake league. Joey Votto hit the games 10th home run in the bottom half of the 10th inning, doing what he does best by playing amazing for a losing team. The American League`s victory unlike in years past means absolutely nothing, making their 2018 All Star game win a bragging rights affair and nothing more.
