Seriously though, this is the most fun thing I think we have ever done. Keeps us both engaged in all 2,430 games all year long. Because someday you may be in a bar and someone might casually ask who the backup catcher in Toronto is. And without skinz, you wouldn't be able to tell them that not only is it Miguel Montero, but that he sucks so bad that if Pujols was carrying Trout, he could still steal second on him.

It is weird to think that this entire season came down to a single day in April, a time when the Tigers and the Orioles still looked like they might be competitive this season, but if there is one thing Skinz and baseball has taught us throughout the past six seasons, it`s that regardless of how crazy or strange this current season has been, it will always surprise you with something different next year.
ReplyDeleteThe most comforting aspect of skinz can also be its most difficult part, the fact that no matter how badly you did today or even the previous week, you always have a new day tomorrow to make brand new choices.
So when the cold mornings of March begin to thaw into the warm spring air of April, know that no matter how confident you may be in the Brewers or the Twins on any given day, if they fail you on Thursday, you will always have Friday to make up for it.
I agree with you that this is hands down my favorite thing we have ever done and even though it is only Thanksgiving, I am already looking forward to the end of March.
