Baseball Skinz: July 2017

This will be the master post to contain the official rules of Baseball Skinz. We originally outlined them a couple years ago (in this post) but since we still ask each other questions from time I thought it best to have a post with a static link off to the right that we can modify as we see fit.

The Rules:

No back to back picks! Plan ahead!!

Exception - If you have been given a matchup via Rule 5, you may select either team in that matchup regardless of your selections in the previous day.
Exception - You can select from all teams on the Friday after the All Star game. This is a mid-season gift. You're welcome.

Must pick every team at least once per month. Exceptions being March and October.

If the contest goes past September 15th, You cannot win the contest unless you have selected all teams for September.

5 picks per day. 2 AL and 2 NL picks worth 1 point each. 1 Double Trouble (DT) pick can be from either league and is worth 2 points for a correct guess and negative 1 (-1) for an incorrect pick. Max score per day is 6, low score -1. Whoever gets most points in a day wins one (1) skin.
If score is tied on any day, the skinz up for grabs that day is then carried over to the next day until a clear winner emerges. The winner of that day then wins all accumulated skinz.
Last Saturday of each month we get to choose a matchup that the other person must decide from.
Any pick for a game that ends with a rainout or is suspended until a future date counts as ZERO (0) points on the day. This is regardless if they were DT or not. The pick still counts toward rule 2 and does not need to be repeated during the month.
Picks must be posted by (and can be changed up until) game start time.
If any day has less than 5 games, no DT is chosen.
If any day has 2 or fewer AL or NL matchups, That league cannot be your DT. Extra selections from the opposing league are then allowed to fill in any shortages (must pick 5 games).
Full skinz season runs from the first full day of games (Either Last Monday in March or First Monday in April) through the last day of the year (Last Sunday in September or First Sunday in October). 26 full weeks minus the 4 days off in July is 178 days. First to 90 skinz is the winner.
In the ~~unlikely~~ very likely event that we tie 89-89, ~~a bare knuckle cage fight will be used to determine the winner~~. 2016 was decided by picking the other games on the last day but this is up for discussion.
While not required, it is considered gentlemanly to notify the other participant if you become aware of any rainouts or pitching changes. It is also courteous to remind the other participant to make their selections if it is noticed that selections have not been made yet and game times are approaching. A simple SMS containing "Skinz yo" is a universally recognized and sufficient reminder. No extra points for nobility will be awarded.
